Studio Bar at The Gardiner House
Inspired by the classic guayabera style, our Guayaberas & Cocktails theme draws from the effortless elegance of Cartagena and the Latin American coast. Wedding Day
CEREMONY
Saturday, March 6th, 2027 at 1:00 p.m.
St. Demetrios Orthodox Church
Transportation will be provided to and from the church, as St. Demetrios Orthodox Church is located roughly 30 minutes from Newport. Guests traveling independently are kindly asked to arrive prior to 1:00 p.m., as the service will begin promptly.
The Greek Orthodox ceremony traditionally spans approximately one hour. In accordance with the church’s attire guidelines, guests are kindly asked to dress in formal attire, with shoulders covered throughout the service with a shawl, wrap, or coat. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits or formal evening attire.
COCKTAIL HOUR
Saturday, March 6th, 2027 at 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
The Gardiner House
Following the ceremony, guests will return to The Gardiner House for an extended cocktail hour, offering ample time to refresh and settle in before the evening’s festivities continue. Curated food stations and more substantial bites will be served early in cocktail hour so guests can relax and enjoy the afternoon before lighter fare is offered throughout the reception.
RECEPTION
Saturday, March 6th, 2027 at 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
The Gardiner House
As the evening continues, guests will enjoy dinner, dancing, and a traditional Hora Loca to close out the celebration. Hora Loca will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. Popular throughout Colombian weddings and celebrations, Hora Loca, or “the crazy hour,” is an energetic late night tradition filled with music, festive entertainment, and celebratory surprises designed to bring everyone to the dance floor.
Late night bites and snacks will be served throughout the remainder of the evening.
